Coxeter群

由元素P_i (其中 i=1, ..., n) 生成的群，受限於

(P_iP_j)^(M_(ij))=1,

其中 M_(ij) 是 Coxeter 矩陣的元素。Coxeter 使用 符號 [3^(p,q,r)] 表示由 Y 形 Coxeter-Dynkin 圖 的節點生成的 Coxeter 群，其三個臂分別有 p、q 和 r 條 圖邊。這種形式的 Coxeter 群是有限的，當且僅當

1/(p+1)+1/(q+1)+1/(r+1)>1.
