比爾圖形是由一系列巢狀的正多邊形組成的序列，其中後續多邊形各自旋轉，使其起始頂點進一步偏移一個位置。這個術語由 Trott (2004, pp. 88-89) 創造，以紀念瑞士藝術家 Max Bill，他於 1938 年創作了一幅畫作，展示了從等邊三角形到八邊形的類似排列 (Huttingerr 1978, Bill 1987)。
