傅立葉-布丹定理

對於任意實數 α 和 β 使得 β>α，設 p(α)≠0 和 p(β)≠0 為 n 次實係數多項式，且 n，且 v(x) 表示序列 {p(x),p^'(x),...,p^((n))(x)} 中符號變化的次數。那麼在區間 [α,β] 內的零點個數（每個零點都按重數計算）等於 v(α)-v(β) 減去一個非負偶數。
